At KnoxvilleFosterCare.com, powered by MillarRich, we match compassionate individuals with children and adults who need specialized, family-based care.

You’ll receive expert training, hands-on support, and the chance to truly change a life—while earning up to $75K. Don’t wait. Be the difference today.

About Us

There are more than 8,000 children in Tennessee's foster care system at any one time. Of these thousands of children, roughly 2% need a higher level of care due to intellectual and developmental disabilities. These at risk youth are often not receiving optimal care while waiting to be placed in specialized foster homes.

Additionally, there are over 7,000 adults with disabilities who need long term care and a place to call home. Nashville Foster Care provides specialized foster care services for those groups that are most in need.

To be approved as a foster-adoptive parent for children or adults in Tennessee you:

  • Can be married, single or divorced

  • May or may not have other children

  • Can own or rent where you live

  • Can work full-time

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must be a resident of the state of Tennessee

  • Must be fingerprinted and pass a background check

  • Must be able to meet the financial needs of your family

Tennessee's foster parents are dually approved to foster and adopt (if individual is of appropriate age). This allows foster parents to adopt the child they are fostering should the child become available for adoption

Fostering a child with a disability is not always easy—but it is profoundly rewarding. With the right training, ongoing support, and meaningful compensation, you can open your home to a child who needs more than a place to live—they need a future.
