In-Home Care For Adults.
We provide person-centered, structured support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities through our residential and day services, all within our Family Lifestyle Model (similar to foster parent responsibilities). This person-centered approach empowers individuals to lead their best, most independent lives through care driven by their own needs and goals.
In the Family Lifestyle Model, contracted families offer support in their homes to adults with an intellectual or developmental disability as a primary diagnosis. We carefully match individuals with families based on their preferences, interests, routines, and specific support needs. This helps ensure that individuals experience a fulfilling, engaged lifestyle while fostering stable, long-term support relationships.
Each family is paired with a Support Specialist who provides a structured curriculum to ensure that teachers can demonstrate essential operational procedures. Additionally, family homes are monitored in key skill areas tailored to the needs of each individual receiving support in the home.
The success of the Family Lifestyle Model largely depends on our exceptional family contractors (similar to foster parents) and our skilled administrative team. We attribute much of this success to the consistent, meaningful relationships that families develop with the individuals in their care. With caregivers' steady, compassionate support, individuals can progress toward their personal goals.
Caring for an adult with disabilities is a full-time commitment. Contracted family homes provide 24/7 care, 365 days a year, with support from our therapeutic care specialists. After completing your training during the hiring process, you will be matched with an individual who is compatible with your family. The placement may happen immediately or take several months, depending on the individuals currently seeking care in Tennessee.
By working together, we help individuals with disabilities thrive in a supportive, nurturing environment—an environment that encourages them to reach their fullest potential under the guidance of caring families and dedicated staff.
